Visit San Pedro

San Pedro Town, the heart of Ambergris Caye is located on the South end of the island. This island is said to have been the inspiration of the hit song “La Isla Bonita” by world famous singer and composer Madonna. Ambergris Caye is the largest island of Belize measuring at 27 square miles in length; it is home to more than 16,000 residents. Local residents are often referred to as San pedranos, derived from the name of the town, San Pedro. Belize, consisting of the many islands and the main island of San Pedro, was once colonized by the British. With this British rule, Belize became the only English speaking country in Central America. San pedranos and Belizeans are very affluent in English and have a good grasp of the Spanish language. The mixtures of cultures, Mestizos, Creoles, Garinagus, Mennonites, Maya, East Indian and more, makes San Pedro a melting pot of cultures. Being a dialect of English, Creole is one of the main languages spoken amongst locals.

The beautiful barrier reef sitting just 1 mile away from the beach invites different people from around the world to visit and discover why San Pedro, Ambergris Caye is still an undiscovered jewel. Visit Caye Caulker

Caye Caulker is a small, unique, and very relaxing island known for its friendly people and amazing snorkeling and diving trips. Listen to local music while you enjoy more than 20 different types of restaurants including Cuban, Turkish, Belizean and Chinese. Caye Caulker only has an approximate population of 1,500 inhabitants. With its turquoise seas, sandy beaches and tropical coconut trees; Caye Caulker is picturesque and magical. The breath-taking view of the largest living barrier reef is just one mile away or a 3 minutes boat ride. Caye Caulker is well known for being a tranquil and peaceful place, ideal to take away the stress of living in the big city. Chetumal, Mexico

Belize’s neighbor, Chetumal, is a Mexican city just across the norther border of Belize. It is the capital of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo and is just a just a couple of hours away from most places in Belize. Chetumal has a population of approximately 151,243 inhabitants.

In the peaceful city of Chetumal there are countless attractions and activities to enjoy with your partner, family, or friends. You can visit the museums, ruins, zip-lining, tube through rivers and cenotes, and must more. The city of Chetumal also has a variety of night activities such as dancing, karaoke, dinner, or simply relaxing. Most nightlife happens along the boulevard situated by the bay.
